Answer:
Possible causes:
Loan Date Last Update >= System Date Last Update
You have already updated for today and create a new
loan. The date last update for today will be today's
date but today has already been updated. This loan
will not update until tomorrow.
You created a loan using the Existing Loan screen
and set the loan's date last update to a future date.
Find the loan in the view screen and change the loan's
date last update ( Dates Tab - upper right corner) (This
is the number one cause of this problem )
Loan balance = 0.
You created a loan with the "New Loan All
Options" screen and did not enter a current
balance. The loan was saved but the balance is zero.
This is a normal practice for constructions loans. A
loan with a zero balance is not updatable.
On the view screen, check the check box that says
"Show zero balance loans". Find your loan
and post an advance transaction ( TC 11 ) for the
amount of the initial advance
Loan Status Less than 20 or greater than 40
The loan status us rarely guilty here because it is
normally set by the system. The loan status can cause
the problem if you enter it manually. The loan system
status field ( System Status on the Loan Tab ) should
be 20. It MUST be greater than 19 and less than 40.
Any value outside that range is not updateable.
